Back with a new track!

Hello folks – it’s been a while. Over a year to be exact. I’ve been off doing other projects in that time but also tinkering with various different ideas both for Stage of History and other music projects. I’ve decided it’s time to put something out online so, here it is. The first new track taken from a forthcoming EP I’m going to be putting out on BandCamp later this month. It’s called Freshly Sliced and you can listen to it below. Let me know what you think!

New Track: Red Robin

Two Week Tracks makes a long delayed return!

What was a Christmas hiatus has turned into nearly five months with no Two Week tracks releases. To make up for that, here’s a track that nearly made the cut onto The Rebellion, Red Robin. This would have been the second track on the album but I found it was too similar in structure to the albums title song which would have succeeded it, and decided to take it out of the running. Finally, here it is. It’s an instrumental as I could never find lyrics to fit it and it’s also a free download, so enjoy! Listen to and download the track below.

Two Week Tracks

Hello all! It’s been a while since the last update – real life things and whatnot! But, I’ve started working on some new material following The Rebellion with an aim to get an EP out early next year. I’ve been experimenting with some different styles that I’m VERY pleased with so I hope to be able to share that in the coming months.

In the meantime, I’ve been looking at some of my unreleased material and giving it a bit of spit and polish. I’ve decided to start putting some of this out onto Soundcloud where they will be available as free downloads; there will be a new track every two weeks so I’ve thrown them all into a playlist called Two Week Tracks (funnily enough!)

The first track hit last week and was a song called Transmit which I’ve been working on for a couple of years now. It’s never really fitted into any of my larger works so here it is as a solo track. This week sees the release of A Dozen Boogie Robots which is a jaunty little electro-pop instrumental.

The Rebellion – out 21st April 2014!

The Rebellion will be hitting BandCamp on the 21st April 2014! This newest album will blend indie and hard rock sounds with electronic grooves and beats creating an eclectic mix of genres. Check the Stage of history page on BandCamp to find more releases and listen to the third track from the album, the atmospheric Forthright Discovery, below!

New Track! The Shattering of Kings

And here’s another new track from The Rebellion for you; a Progressive Rock styled instrumental, The Shattering of Kings. Have a listen and watch out for The Rebellion soon!

New Track: Glitter

Here it is! The first track taken from the long gestating LP “The Rebellion”! It’s called Glitter and it’s a bit of a departure from the usual SoH sound. The Rebellion as a whole will mix instrumentals with songs, taking the sound in a different direction. I’m trying some different things on here and I should hopefully have it available on BandCamp soon, once I’ve finished the final mix on the tracks! In the meantime, listen to Glitter and let me know what you think!
